¡Hola!
I am Marta, a Spanish illustrator based in Rome who loves watercolours.
Few years ago, I lived in Italy working and studying Fine Arts at the same time. Then I had not Ñ letter on my keyboard, something that was quite a challenge for a Spanish speaker like me, so I got really attached to the “Virgulilla” the stroke above Ñ (~).
For my work I use watercolor, ink and pencil.
The female figure is often the main character of the topics that I care about, that are related with people affected by discrimination and environmental conflicts. For this reason I try to promote ecologic consciousness and sensitise about different exclusion and inequality issues.
